What 7 month baby can eat and what to avoid

Are you curious about what to feed your 7 months old baby and what foods should be avoided.
Don’t worry! At this stage many parents feel confuse but I’ll guide you what ypur baby can safely consume and what you should avoid.
At 7 months,  your baby is ready to explore new tastes and textures,  but remember their digestive system is still developing. so  food shuld always be soft, simple and easy to digest

Food a 7 months old baby can eat:

Fruits
Mashed banana
Apple puree
Pear
Papaya
Always mash or puree the fruits well so your baby can swallow them comfortably.

Vegetables
Boiled and mashed potatoes,  pumpkin and sweet potato
Make sure they are properly boiled and very soft. Avoid giving your baby raw or undercooked vegetables

Grains
Dal water, boiled mashed dal,  rice porridge , and soft khichdi are great options.
They provide energy and are easy to digest for your baby.
Protein is very important at this stage so you can give very well cooked lentils and a little curd.
Start with small quantities like 1 tea spoon and give single thing atleast 3 days and check how your baby reacts.

You can also introduce small finger foods like small pieces of boiled vegetables or soft fruits to help your baby learn chewing and self feeding. Always stay nearby your baby to avoid choking.

Foods you should avoid to feed your baby at 7 months:

1:  Honey
It can harmful for your baby at this age.
2:  Salt and Sugar
Your baby doesn’t need them.
3:  Packaged or processed food
They are not suitable for your baby’s digestion.
4:  Cow’s milk
It can be introduce later after one year
5:  Hard or Small foods
They can cause choking.

Most important tip:
Always introduce one single food at a time rather than mixed foods , wait for couple of days or alteast 3 days before trying another. This helps you identify any allergies easily.  Remember every child is different.  Some babies eat more, some eat less. This is completely normal. Never force feed. Focus on giving your baby healthy,  simple , and fresh food. And slowly, your baby will start enjoying different foods.
